Am I eligible for same-day glasses?
Same-day is available for many single-vision prescriptions when we have lenses in stock (commonly used powers and materials).
Same-day typically available for:
- Single-vision distance or reading prescriptions
- Standard index materials (subject to stock)
- Most full-rim, many semi-rimless frames and rimless frames.
May require extra time (not same-day):
- Complex/strong prescriptions (e.g., high plus/minus, high astigmatism)
- Progressive / multifocal and bifocal lenses
- Specialised tints, transitions/photochromic, polarised, prisms
- High-index or bespoke lens designs when not in stock
We’ll confirm options and timing at your appointment. If same-day isn’t possible, we’ll offer the next-fastest solution.

- Use proper cleaner: Spray lens cleaner or mild dish soap; avoid household glass cleaners.
- Microfibre only: Dry with a clean microfibre cloth—no tissues or clothing.
- Case it: Store in a hard case when not in use; don’t place lenses face-down.
- Avoid heat: Keep away from saunas, dashboards, and hot water—heat can damage coatings.
- Regular check-ups: Pop in for free adjustments; loose screws and misalignment shorten frame life.

- Oval (balanced proportions): Most shapes work—try rectangles, cat-eye, classic wayfarers.
- Round (soft angles): Add definition with rectangular, square, or browline frames.
- Square (defined jaw/forehead): Soften angles with round, oval, or butterfly frames.
- Heart (wider brow, narrower chin): Balance with light, bottom-heavy or round shapes; try cat-eye too.
- Diamond (high cheekbones, narrow brow/chin): Oval, cat-eye, or rimless to open the eye line.
- Oblong/Rectangular (longer face): Deeper (taller) lenses, wayfarer, or round to shorten the look.
